While the Monday blues continues to beat on, it will be the daredevils from Delhi up against Kings 11 Punjab who seems to be taking the centre stage after a mocking performance against the challengers in a rain hit game. All focus will be on GG who is ought to be in some sought of trouble already, winning just two of their five games.
The confidence of Punjab has been reaching heights ever since Ashwin opted to bat against Sunrisers Hyderabad owing to the inability of chasing higher targets of the latter. On the other hand with Delhi playing their first home game of the season, an exciting finish is already on the cards.
Feroz Shah Kotla, owing to its short boundaries has always been a batting paradise over the past decade. Chris Gayle and KL Rahul who has been in astonishing form would be licking their lips to get in there and bag some more runs under their belt. Although their batting looks promising, the middle order of Finch, Nair, Yuvraj is yet to be tested with the likes of Finch bagging golden ducks in his first two games is not helping the team’s cause either. Delhi on the other hand has its own territory of problems. Roy, who looked in ominous touch has went below par failing to give DD the start they need. Their key player last year Chris Morris has looked in total discord in both his batting and bowling. Only factor which looks promising for Delhi is how Trent Boult has raised his standards in bowling and the atheletism and flexibility he has provided in the field.
Delhi is expected to play same line-up unless GG and Ponting trace a different route. Vijay Shankar hasn’t made any significant contribution which would force the swap of Gurkeerat Mann singh with Shankar adding more depth to its batting.

Punjab Team news :
With the top order doing the bulk of work it will be interesting to see how Punjab approaches when their openers fail to provide the start. Concern’s over Yuvi’s poor run has been raised around the corner which might see Manoj play but are mostly expected to play an unchanged line up.
